Ham Imaging

Receive & transmit ham-radio images (SSTV)
A41UX / Unixeerβ„’

Turn your phone into a complete picture station. Hold it near any HT or rig speaker and watch SSTV pictures paint in as they arrive β€” then pick a photo, add your callsign, and let the phone sing the image back out as sound. Full picture contacts with no extra hardware, no internet and no backend.

Decode SSTV Off-Air

Hold the phone near any speaker and watch received SSTV pictures paint in from the microphone as the audio arrives β€” no cables required.

πŸ“€

Transmit Your Own Images

Pick a photo, overlay your callsign and grid, preview it, then let the phone play it out as SSTV audio into your rig's mic.

🎞️

20 SSTV Modes

Encodes and decodes the Scottie (1, 2, 3, 4, DX), Martin (1, 2, 3), Robot (12, 24, 36, 72), PD (50, 90, 120, 160, 180, 240, 290) and Wraase SC2-180 families β€” every everyday HF and ISS mode β€” with automatic mode detection.

🎯

Auto Mode Detect & Tuning

The mode dropdown defaults to Auto (VIS), reading the VIS header to pick the mode automatically and remembering your last-used mode between launches, with a live level meter and a decode-confidence read-out to help you get a clean picture. Auto detect now allows for a receiver tuned slightly off frequency, where the whole VIS header shifts together and used to be missed.

Decode a Saved Recording

Beside the Receive button, pick a WAV file and Ham Imaging decodes it exactly as if the audio were arriving from the radio β€” recover a pass you recorded but could not watch, or retry a noisy signal at leisure. Takes 8, 16, 24 or 32-bit WAVs, mono or stereo at any sample rate; a stereo file is averaged rather than half-discarded, and a recording that was cut off is decoded as far as it goes.

πŸ“

Slant Correction

Recovers the true line timing from the signal's sync pulses and corrects the slant, so pictures come out square instead of leaning.

πŸ›°οΈ

ARISS Ready

Built for International Space Station SSTV events: automatic mode detection handles the event mode, and Clean export gives you exactly what ARISS asks for β€” no overlay, 800 px β€” for award submissions.

Picture Gallery

Received and transmitted pictures kept together with their mode, UTC, frequency and callsign β€” ready to review, share or export.

🧹

Clean Export & ADIF

Share a watermarked copy, export a clean ARISS-sized image, or copy an ADIF line to paste an SSTV contact straight into Ham Logging.

πŸ“»

No Extra Hardware

Acoustic coupling to any handheld or base rig. Everything runs on the phone β€” no dongle, no internet connection, no server.

πŸ†”

Licensed Operation

Receiving needs no licence, but a valid amateur radio licence is required to transmit β€” you always operate within your own privileges.

πŸŒ™

Light & Dark

A clean theme in light or dark with adjustable font size β€” comfortable on the bench or out in the field. Works fully offline.
