Morse key, phonetics & grid — on your wrist
A41UX / Unixeer™

It runs on Apple Watch and Wear OS on its own, with no phone needed, and on iPhone too. No account, no logging, and no network access of any kind.

✨ Four things, done properly

🔘

A Real Straight Key

One round key you press and hold — not two buttons that pick a symbol for you. A short hold is a dit, a long hold a dah, so the app grades your fist rather than your aim.

🎚️

Standard ARRL Timing

dit = 1200 / WPM, with proper Farnsworth spacing that stretches the gaps and leaves the characters alone. Character speed, overall speed and sidetone pitch are all yours to set.

🔊

A Clean Sidetone

The tone is generated in code, not from a clip, with a 5 ms raised-cosine ramp at each end so a key-up never clicks — no matter when your finger lifts.

🔤

Phonetic Alphabet

Every ICAO/NATO letter and number, spoken on tap. One press on My Callsign spells yours out loud — the pre-QSO warm-up you actually use.

📖

52 Q-Codes

Each with its question form, its statement form, and a note on how it is really used on air — that QRZ means "you are being called", not "what is your callsign". Hear it spoken, or hear it sent in CW.

🗺️

Maidenhead to 8 Characters

All four levels — field, square, subsquare and extended square — computed on the device from one GPS fix. A level-4 square is about 850 × 460 m, well inside GPS accuracy.

👀

Raise Your Wrist

A complication on Apple Watch, a tile on Wear OS. Your last locator, with how old the fix is — because a glanceable square should never pretend to be live when it isn't.

🌙

Light & Dark

One toggle, the whole app. Dark costs less battery on an OLED watch, which is why it exists.

✈️

Genuinely Offline

No account, no sign-up, no logging, no analytics. The Wear OS build does not even request the internet permission — it is incapable of sending anything anywhere.

About the Developer

Yousuf AL Balushi (A41UX) started his Ham Radio journey in November 2024 as an official member of The Royal Omani Amateur Radio Society (ROARS).

Ham Training is the tenth app in the Unixeer™ portfolio, and the first built for the wrist — a small, offline trainer for the four things worth having a tap away: your fist, your phonetics, your Q-codes and your grid.

"Send it yourself, on the wrist." 🔘
